Professional soccer team K League 1 Daejeon Hana Citizen announced on the 5th that it had recruited striker Choi Geon-
ju, who was playing for K League 2 Busan IPark.
Choi Geon-ju, a graduate of Jeonju Technical High School and Konkuk University, made his professional debut in 2020
with Ansan Greeners in K League 2 and has been playing in Busan since last year.
He, who recorded double-digit attack points (7 goals, 3 assists) in K League 2 as a member of Ansan in the 2022 season,
recorded 1 goal and 1 assist in 27 games in Busan last year and 1 goal in 18 games this year.
In 2021, he was selected for the U-23 national team led by current Daejeon manager Hwang Sun-hong in the 2022 Asian
Football Confederation (AFC) U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers.
The Daejeon club said, "Choi Geon-ju is a player who stands out for his fast speed and aggressive breakthroughs on the
side. He also has excellent individual skills, so he has the ability to create attacking opportunities and finish the game with
his active movements even in competitions with opposing defenders," and expected a synergy effect with players like
Cheon Seong-hun and 토토 Park Jeong-in.
